Jane Street's Machine Learning Researcher Internship in London, June to September, takes an undergraduate, PhD student or postdoc with practical experience working on ML problems. Its Machine Learning Engineer Internship, also in London from June to September, takes an undergraduate, postgraduate or PhD student with practical experience training an ML model. Google lists a Research Intern, PhD, Summer 2027 role.

Some marketing internships ask interns to work with AI tools.
Together AI's Growth Marketing Intern (Summer 2027), in San Francisco, creates campaign content and collateral using AI tools to produce faster at scale. It runs over 12 weeks, from May 17th to August 6th or June 14th to September 3rd, and takes students pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, economics or a related field, or an MBA, who are returning to school after the internship.

Some AI firms run full-time research fellowships of a set length with a cohort start.
Anthropic's Fellows Program runs for four months, full-time; its next cohort is expected to start in January 2027, and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Fellows work on an empirical project aligned with its research priorities, mostly on external infrastructure such as open-source models and public APIs, aiming at a public output such as a paper. The bachelor's degree minimum for its full-time roles does not apply to fellows, and candidates must be fluent in Python.
