Keyrock

Keyrock is an independent, crypto-native digital-asset trading firm founded in 2017 in Brussels by Kevin de Patoul, Jeremy de Groodt, and Juan David Mendieta. It runs multiple desks across digital-asset markets — market making, OTC trading, an options desk, and onchain/DeFi liquidity — and added asset and wealth management in 2025 via its acquisition of Turing Capital. The firm is tech-first, building Rust-based trading systems and trading across more than 85 exchanges and 1,400 markets, and reached roughly 220 staff after a 2026 Series C led by SC Ventures (Standard Chartered's venture arm), with Ripple participating, at a $1.1 billion valuation. Its senior bench is drawn from traditional finance, including a chief investment officer who ran trading desks at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

For an applicant this is a prioritisation call rather than a generalist one: open roles skew toward quantitative and engineering work — Rust and Python, market microstructure, CEX/DEX and perpetuals — rather than coverage or advisory.
