Accenture's North America student programs recruit on three distinct paths:

• Summer Analyst Program: a 10 to 12 week placement for third-year students enrolled in a four-year US or Canada undergraduate degree, with the application split up front into Strategy, Consulting, or Technology tracks
• MBA Internship Program: a small-team summer project led by a Strategy executive, run for MBA students
• Apprenticeship Program: a roughly 12-month full-time earn-and-learn route designed for candidates without a four-year degree, eligible to applicants at least 18 with a high school diploma

Eligibility differs sharply between routes, so a candidate considering both the Summer Analyst and Apprenticeship paths is preparing two distinct applications against two different criteria, not filing once.

The one explicit exception is the Apprenticeship Program, where applicants must be eligible to work in the US or Canada without sponsorship.

For a candidate dependent on sponsorship, the apprenticeship route is closed up front, and other openings need to be screened posting-by-posting on whether sponsorship is offered, rather than treated as universally open.

Two features of Accenture's entry-level intake structure shape the application choice:

• Function track set at application: the Summer Analyst Program is not a generalist internship; candidates apply directly into Strategy, Consulting, or Technology, rather than being placed across functions after a common assessment
• Apprenticeship at scale: Accenture states that its Apprenticeship Program has accounted for roughly 20% of US and Canada entry-level hiring across recent fiscal years, with more than 2,500 apprentices since 2016 across 40-plus cities, a target announced publicly in 2022

For an applicant without a four-year degree, the 20% figure makes the apprenticeship a primary route at Accenture rather than a token programme, and worth treating with the same preparation effort as the Summer Analyst track.
