SCOR's dedicated actuarial pathway is the SCOR Actuarial Scholarship, launched in London in 2024:

• Two scholarships awarded per year, each covering £5,000 per year of an accredited actuarial degree in the UK or Ireland over three years (£15,000 total), plus a discretionary hardship fund
• Two paid six-to-eight-week summer internships per scholar, one in the Life business area and one in P&C
• A 23-month paid graduate placement on course completion (2:1 degree minimum), paying £33,000–£40,000 depending on actuarial exam exemptions

Outside the scholarship, SCOR separately recruits into standalone actuarial internship and trainee-actuary roles in its London office each cycle, including a matching 23-month UK Life & Health Reserving graduate contract with full actuarial exam support. The scholarship route is a multi-year commitment – three years of funded study plus two internships – before the graduate placement even starts, longer than a single-summer internship elsewhere; the standalone postings are the faster entry point for a candidate not pursuing the scholarship.

In the UK, SCOR pairs this with the SCOR Actuarial Scholarship, launched in 2024 and restricted to first-generation university students and those eligible for free school meals, rather than open to all applicants.

A research-prize program running every year for three decades, across a shifting set of countries, is a specific and checkable fact rather than a general claim of investing in actuarial talent. The UK scholarship's eligibility criteria are a gate, not a formality: a candidate who does not meet them is better served by SCOR's standalone actuarial internship and trainee postings instead.
