What sets Destinus apart
Destinus completed its acquisition of Daedalean in January 2026, a CHF 180 million (roughly $225 million) deal that folded the Zurich AI-aviation firm's autonomy and perception engineering directly into Destinus.
Destinus and Rheinmetall also agreed in 2026 to form Rheinmetall Destinus Strike Systems, a joint venture to scale production of the 2,000 km-class RUTA Block 3 missile across sites in the Netherlands, Germany, and Ukraine. Fast Company named Destinus to its 2026 Most Innovative Companies list in defense tech. The two industrial moves point to different desks for a new hire: autonomy and AI work concentrates around the former Daedalean team, while production and manufacturing roles scale across the Rheinmetall joint venture's three sites.
