RBC's Students & Graduates careers site groups its early-career intake into a few distinct tracks across the bank's businesses (Capital Markets, Personal & Commercial Banking, Wealth Management, Risk, Technology & Operations):

• Co-ops and Internships: paid 4-month or 8-month student placements across Winter, Summer and Fall terms
• New Graduate Rotational Programs: full-time entry roles, including the Technology & Operations New Grad Experience for graduates within the past two years
• Capital Markets Summer Analyst: 4-month summer placements across Global Investment Banking, Global Markets, Corporate Banking, Municipal Finance and Research, with dedicated diversity routes (the Capital Markets Women's Advisory Program and the Pathways Diversity Award Program)
• RBC Amplify: a May–August tech innovation programme for students entering their final year, run in 4-person cross-functional teams (developers, data engineers, a business analyst) building a product end-to-end

Because these tracks sit on different calendars and select for different skill mixes, a student deciding between, say, a Capital Markets Summer Analyst seat and an Amplify seat is choosing between two genuinely different work types and two separate application windows, not just two teams inside one programme.

Two features genuinely separate the early-career entry from peers: Amplify is a build-a-product summer programme rather than a rotation or shadowing internship, with 4-person cross-functional student teams sponsored by senior executives to ship a real product end-to-end between May and August; and student intake runs on three rolling terms per year (Winter, Summer, Fall) rather than a single autumn cohort. A candidate trading a U.S. bank's single autumn deadline for RBC's three term windows gets more entry attempts each year, in exchange for compressed three-to-four-week application periods that close as soon as roles are filled.
