G Research's quantitative research interview-questions page describes a three-stage process for its main early-careers track: an online quant quiz (either a general quantitative-aptitude assessment or a machine-learning-specific one, depending on background); a technical interview block of four one-hour interviews on the standard track, or two one-hour ML-focused interviews on the ML track; and a final round of leadership interviews.
Engineering and corporate paths use a different shape on the firm's graduates page – engineering combines an online skills test with an assessment centre, and corporate runs one to two interviews plus a meeting with a functional leader. Once a candidate clears the online quiz, the firm tells applicants the full assessment process typically takes one to two weeks, so a QR loop is essentially a half-week of dense maths interviews compressed into a short window rather than a marathon stretched across an autumn.
