Liberty Mutual says no prior actuarial exams are required for its actuarial internship, and EY's actuarial internship in Singapore asks for experience of, or a desire to pursue, actuarial exams. Exams come in with the full-time programmes: Liberty Mutual's Actuarial Development Program asks for at least one exam passed, and The Hartford's Actuarial Student Program gives 130 hours of study time during work hours for two exam sittings a year.

Liberty Mutual's takes rising juniors, seniors and graduate students. Isio's 2027 summer internship in the UK is for students returning for their final year, with an A or B in Maths A-level or equivalent and on track for a 2.1. Pacific Life Re's actuarial interns in Sydney are in the penultimate year of a degree in actuarial studies, mathematics or statistics, and EY's in Singapore are pursuing a degree related to actuarial science or equivalent.

Liberty Mutual's interns work on modeling, pricing, reserving and analytics and end with a final presentation. Pacific Life Re's interns in Sydney sit in its Pricing, Research & Development and Corporate Actuarial teams, on pricing terms for clients, experience analyses and valuation and capital reporting. EY's in Singapore work for clients on reserving, pricing and mergers and acquisitions support, and on financial reporting, risk management and regulatory projects such as Solvency II and IFRS.

Liberty Mutual's is a full-time, 11-week summer internship, and Isio's summer internship in the UK runs nine weeks. EY asks its actuarial interns in Singapore to commit at least four months, from December 2026 or January 2027 to April 2027.

Isio says its internship, placement and graduate opportunities usually open in September. Pacific Life Re asked for applications to its 2026 actuarial internships in Sydney, over the summer vacation, by 7 June 2026, and reviewed them as they came in.
