• Software Engineering Internship: 12 weeks, with two cohorts starting in May and June, hosted in person at offices in San Francisco (HQ), Sunnyvale, Seattle, New York, or Los Angeles. The program is conversion-focused but does not guarantee return offers, and DoorDash provides relocation support and intern housing assistance
• AI Research Fellowship: a Summer and Fall 2026 program based in San Francisco for applied ML and AI research on logistics, agentic systems, foundation models for marketplace dynamics, and evaluation methods. Fellows pick a problem direction and publish or ship the outcome rather than sitting on a product team as junior engineers
• New Grad Program: a one-year structured program with technical and leadership training and an in-person New Grad Summit

DoorDash explicitly notes on the same page that it does not run off-cycle software engineering internships outside the summer. For an undergraduate the practical consequence is that engineering work here is a once-a-year decision, and the AI fellowship is the only adjacent option for a student looking for a non-summer entry route.

The portfolio now spans core US restaurant delivery, DashMart (first-party convenience and groceries), and the acquired international brands Wolt and Deliveroo, with SevenRooms (restaurant operations software) appearing on the careers site as its own career area.

For an early-career applicant choosing between consumer-internet employers, the trade-off is concentration on logistics, matching, and marketplace economics in one dominant US platform, rather than a diversified portfolio of separate consumer apps.
