Internships run June to August in Boston, Chicago, and San Francisco, with placement internships also offered in Frankfurt, Hong Kong, London, and Sydney; the firm separately partners with Northeastern University on six-month co-ops running January to June and July to December. The named full-time tracks are:

• Business Associate (BA): three-year program; Boston, Hong Kong, London, Singapore
• Technology Associate (TAP): global, July start; same four offices
• Investment Science Associate (ISA) and Investor Research Associate (RA): up to five-year programs listed on the UK campus page, open from bachelor's through PhD entry

The firm describes the 10-week summer internship as a primary pipeline for full-time hiring, so a candidate targeting any of BA, TAP, ISA, or RA is typically planning two sequenced applications a year apart, not a single one - the season ahead of senior year is the conversion gate.

MBA-level candidates may be sponsored depending on team and role. International offices each carry their own work-authorization requirements: Frankfurt placements require authorization to work in Germany, Hong Kong placements require authorization to work in Hong Kong, and the UK campus page frames London roles around candidates eligible to work in the UK. This makes Wellington a hard gate for US-based F-1 undergraduates without sponsoring-employer status: instead of applying into Boston, Chicago, or San Francisco, the realistic route is the home-country office track where local work authorization already exists.

Two structural choices set the early-career programs apart from typical bank-owned or sell-side peers. First, the full-time tracks are unusually long: the Business Associate runs three years, and the Investment Science Associate and Investor Research Associate programs on the UK campus page each run up to five - the structured development window is counted in years, not months. Second, the six-month Co-op partnership with Northeastern University is restricted to Northeastern students and runs either January to June or July to December, giving that cohort a much longer in-firm window than the 10-week summer permits. For an applicant ranking firms by depth and duration of early-career runway rather than headline brand, the multi-year track lengths are the most load-bearing differentiator.
