Together AI is an AI cloud and infrastructure startup founded by an unusually research-heavy team: Vipul Ved Prakash (CEO), Ce Zhang (CTO), Stanford professors Chris Ré and Percy Liang, and Tri Dao (Chief Scientist, creator of FlashAttention).
The firm raised an $800M Series C at an $8.3B valuation in July 2026, led by Aramco Ventures, bringing total funding to roughly $1.2 billion (Together AI). Open roles are concentrated in engineering and research at two offices, San Francisco and Amsterdam, with no published student, internship, or graduate program. For an early-career candidate this is a direct-to-role startup hire rather than a class-based intake: applications go against specific senior-track engineering or research postings, the bar leans toward existing ML-systems or research credibility, and a generalist rotation path here does not exist.
