The country-of-study eligibility rule means a candidate's pathway is fixed by where they are enrolled, not by where they want to work; a US-enrolled student has only one summer window per cycle, while a Canada- or APAC-enrolled student has three intake terms a year.

Three specifics on Autodesk's students page separate the program from the standard one-summer US tech model:

• Internships in Canada (16 weeks) and Asia-Pacific (3 to 6 months) run in summer, fall, and winter cohorts, so an eligible candidate can join outside the summer block.
• Interns receive the same benefits package as full-time staff – paid holidays, paid volunteer time, free Autodesk software, employee discounts – rather than a stripped-down intern package.
• Each intern is paired with an early-career "intern buddy" alongside one-on-one coaching from a senior employee, and finishes the program by presenting a project showcase.

For a candidate resident and enrolled in Canada or APAC, the off-cycle cohorts are the most consequential feature: they convert Autodesk from a single rigid summer window into a track that can be attempted across multiple terms in the same academic year. For US and European students the firm runs one summer block per cycle, so an Autodesk application here is a single bet that does not roll forward.
