RSM organizes early-career hiring into three named tracks, run across its Assurance, Tax and Consulting service lines:

• Pathways – a half-day, virtual introduction to the firm for students still early in their search
• RSM Excellence Academy – a three-day, in-person development program
• Internships – placements in Assurance, Tax or Consulting, posted separately for summer and winter cohorts each year

Two internship cohorts a year means two separate application windows rather than one: missing the summer intake does not rule out RSM for that recruiting year, but each cohort still runs on its own timeline and has to be tracked separately.

The postings carve out one exception: a recent graduate with one to two years of relevant, non-internship work experience may instead be considered for an experienced-associate role. For an international student without existing US work authorization, RSM's internship and entry-level postings are effectively closed regardless of the rest of the application, which narrows RSM out of a summer-internship search built around sponsorship-friendly employers.

A No. 5 industry ranking held for 19 straight years, a multi-year spot on a national best-employer list, and a campus-specific recognition are three independent signals rather than one glossy "great place to work" claim, useful for weighing RSM against the usual Big Four shortlist when a candidate can only carry a handful of applications through a full recruiting season.
