An audit graduate scheme trains a graduate to examine organisations' financial information and published accounts while studying for a chartered accountancy qualification: the ACA, or the CA in Scotland, at both firms named here.
KPMG describes audit as examining organisations and ensuring their published accounts provide a "true and fair" view, and its 2027 audit graduates study towards the ACA or the CA equivalent in Scotland. EY's Audit Graduate Programme lasts three years and leads to the ICAEW's or ICAS's Chartered Accountancy qualification; its graduates carry out independent assessments of clients' financial information.

EY and KPMG both recruit their 2027 audit graduates office by office across the UK, not only in London: EY lists 13 UK cities for its September 2027 audit intake, and KPMG recruits by region.
EY's cities are Aberdeen, Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool, London, Luton, Manchester, Newcastle upon Tyne, Reading and Southampton. KPMG's 2027 Audit Graduate Programme in the North covers Leeds, Manchester and Newcastle, and its graduate pages list 19 offices for the firm, among them Aberdeen, Birmingham, Bristol and Manchester.

Not at EY or Bishop Fleming: EY's Audit Graduate Programme asks for no specific degree subject, and Bishop Fleming welcomes graduates from any degree discipline.
EY asks instead for a willingness to study towards the ICAEW or ICAS Chartered Accountancy qualification. KPMG says its current technology audit graduates have degrees in a variety of subjects. Bishop Fleming's graduate trainees study for the ACA over three years, its tax joiners study a further year for the CTA, and it gives each role's academic entry requirements on the vacancy listing itself.

Each firm sets its own closing date for the 2027 start: EY's Audit Graduate Programme for September 2027 gives 12 November 2026, and KPMG's 2027 Audit Graduate Programme in the North gives 19 November 2026.
Both programmes start on 1 September 2027, and Bishop Fleming says most of its graduate roles begin in September. This season, for the 2027 start, began on 1 June 2026. Last season, half of the 11 firms with an opening on record opened between 7 October 2025 and 18 March 2026.
