The firm does not publish a fixed number of subsequent rounds because each business group (Real Estate, Private Equity, Credit & Insurance, Hedge Fund Solutions, Infrastructure, and Corporate functions) runs its own selection. A candidate applying to more than one group is therefore preparing distinct interview loops in parallel, and because hiring runs rolling through the cycle, the earliest qualified candidates are read first.

Blackstone's students page lists two campus tracks across its Investment and Corporate businesses:

• Summer Analyst / Summer Associate. A 10-week internship for students in the junior year of college, third year of university, or first year of business school.
• Full-Time Analyst / Full-Time Associate. For students in the final year of undergraduate studies or the second year of business school, with an anticipated spring graduation.

Blackstone allows candidates to apply to multiple groups within the firm. Each group runs its own process and timeline, so a candidate considering more than one is preparing a distinct application and interview loop for each group rather than a single pooled submission.

Blackstone's students FAQ states: "If you are not a citizen, Blackstone may petition on your behalf for an employment-based visa. Please be advised that the country's citizen and immigration service office makes the ultimate determination as to whether such a visa will be granted." The firm has filed visa applications with the US Department of Labor at scale, with 214 LCAs recorded across fiscal 2022 to 2024 per MyVisaJobs. The published commitment is to a petition, not to an outcome, so a candidate dependent on sponsorship cannot treat any specific role as guaranteed until the immigration authority rules.

• Scale. Blackstone is the world's largest alternative asset manager, with $1.304 trillion in total AUM at the end of March 2026 per its Q1 2026 8-K filing.
• Multi-strategy platform. A single firm spans Real Estate, Private Equity, Credit & Insurance, Hedge Fund Solutions, Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Growth Equity, and Secondaries – each a distinct deal team a campus candidate can target.
• Selectivity. For its 2023 first-year analyst class Blackstone received 62,000 applications for 169 seats, an acceptance rate near 0.27% – by CEO Stephen Schwarzman's framing on the firm's Q2 2023 earnings call, roughly twelve times harder than Harvard undergraduate admissions.

The combined consequence is that a single Blackstone application carries unusual weight per submission: a candidate is choosing which group to target inside the firm before the firm has chosen between candidates, so group-research and fit work move forward of the interview itself rather than after it.
