Pacific Life Re runs five named early-career tracks across London, Toronto, Sydney and Singapore:

• Actuarial Graduate Programme (London): a rotational scheme across pricing, valuation, modelling and research & development
• Actuarial, Financial Accounting and Data Science Placement Programmes (London): one-year placements that begin each September
• Technology Early Careers Programme (London): spans technology solutions, global infrastructure, enterprise architecture and IT risk & information security
• Actuarial placements outside London: year-round co-ops in Toronto recruited from the University of Waterloo, University of Toronto and Simon Fraser University; three to four summer placements a year in Sydney through the Macquarie, UNSW and ANU actuarial societies; annual and ad hoc placements in Singapore through Nanyang Technological University

A candidate is choosing between five separately-run pipelines rather than one scheme, and the three London placement programmes share a single September start, so applying to more than one of them means preparing overlapping applications against the same date.

Its early-careers recruiting also runs four distinct functional tracks rather than actuarial alone - actuarial, technology, data science and financial accounting - with the actuarial placements specifically recruited through named university-society partnerships in three countries at once: Waterloo, Toronto and Simon Fraser in Canada, Macquarie, UNSW and ANU in Australia, and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.

For a student weighing offers across several insurers or reinsurers, the AA- rating is an externally-audited, directly comparable measure of balance-sheet strength, and the multi-country actuarial network means a candidate's realistic route in often depends on which city's university-society partnership they can reach, rather than on the London graduate scheme alone.
