MS Amlin runs two named graduate programmes:

• Corporate Graduate Programme: two years, six four-month rotations across the business, open to any degree discipline
• Actuarial Graduate Programme (launched 2025): two years, four six-month rotations across actuarial teams, paired with business-supported study toward the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) qualification

A separate apprenticeship route in London spans Claims, Underwriting, Technical Pricing, Operations and Underwriting Performance, with the firm funding the associated professional qualification. Neither graduate scheme requires prior (re)insurance experience or a quantitative background, by the firm's own description.

Choosing between the Corporate and Actuarial tracks happens at application, not after arrival: the Actuarial route commits a candidate to IFoA exam study alongside the rotations from day one, while the Corporate route leaves specialisation open until later in the two years.

In 2026 the firm followed that with two capacity moves: a property treaty consortium bringing together four Lloyd's syndicates to lift its maximum line size 35% to $67.5m, and a new incidental Lloyd's sub-syndicate targeting innovative growth. For a graduate joining now, that combination means arriving inside an underwriter that is actively growing its capacity and franchise rather than managing a book in run-off, which shapes both the breadth of live deals a rotation is likely to touch and the firm's near-term hiring appetite.
