At the firms whose pages we checked, applications for summer 2027 internships are taken in fall 2026, and Fidelity takes some for summer 2028 in winter and spring 2027.
Wellington Management's campus page gave Friday, 2 October 2026 as the close of applications for its 2027 US internships. Fidelity's asset management page lists fall 2026 for its Quantitative Research and MBA Equity Research Analyst internships in 2027, and, for 2028, winter 2027 for its Boston Equity Research Associate and Chicago Direct Lending Associate internships and spring 2027 for its Fixed Income and Strategic Advisers Research Associate internships. Since 1 June 2026, 73 of the 78 firms our record follows here have posted an internship.

The firms whose pages we checked set who can apply by year of study or by graduation date, and some take master's students.
Wellington Management's US summer internship is for current sophomores and juniors, and it asks for no particular major. Fidelity's undergraduate asset management programs take sophomores, for the summer after their junior year, or juniors, and its Quantitative Research Internship takes master's or PhD students. BlackRock's 2027 Summer Internship Program for the Americas is open to undergraduate and master's students who graduate from September 2027 to July 2028.

Wellington Management's runs ten weeks between June and August, with places in Boston, Chicago and San Francisco, most of them in Boston. Fidelity's runs ten weeks, in Boston and Merrimack, New Hampshire, and in Chicago for direct lending. BlackRock's Americas program runs nine weeks, June through August, with New York as its primary location among cities that include Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, San Francisco and Seattle.
