The first interview is a roughly 30-minute video interview (HireVue); engineering applicants instead complete a HackerRank assessment. Candidates who clear that stage are invited to a Superday, which the firm describes as "between two and five interviews" depending on the division. The firm evaluates applications throughout the recruiting season on a rolling basis. The Superday clusters those two-to-five interviews into a single day, so candidates need to research their target division before the video stage – there is little time to learn it inside the same-day final round, and the rolling review means earlier submissions are read first.

Goldman Sachs's student programs catalogue spans three regions (Americas, EMEA, Asia-Pacific) and four program families:

• Summer Analyst Programmes – a nine-to-ten week summer internship for undergraduates in their penultimate or final year, open across roughly eighteen divisions including Investment Banking, FICC and Equities, Asset Management, Wealth Management, Engineering, Global Investment Research, Risk, Operations and Internal Audit. The EMEA 2026, Americas 2026, Americas 2027 and Asia-Pacific 2027 cohorts are currently open.
• Summer Associate Programmes for MBA and graduate-school students, run alongside the analyst programmes in each region.
• [Off-Cycle Internships](https://www.goldmansachs.com/careers/students/programs-and-internships/emea/off-cycle-internships) in EMEA (with a separate Asia-Pacific equivalent), running three, six or twelve months across about a dozen divisions, open to penultimate-year, final-year and recent-graduate candidates.
• New Analyst / New Associate Programmes for full-time graduate hires.
• Insight events (Virtual Insight Series in the Americas, Future Possibilities Insight Event in EMEA, Asia Possibilities Series, Japan Programs) for earlier-stage undergraduates as a route into the summer programmes.

These map onto stage of study: insight events for earlier-stage undergraduates, the Summer Analyst for penultimate or final year, off-cycle for those between studies or recently graduated, and the New Analyst for full-time graduate hires. A candidate two years from graduation is best placed to target the Summer Analyst rather than waiting for direct full-time entry.
