What is a sophomore internship?

A sophomore internship is a program a firm runs for students in their second year of university, and how long it runs differs by firm.

Bain's BEL program is a 1.5-day, in-person program held on 4 and 5 February across Bain's US and Canada offices. Five Rings' LINK 2027 is a 5-day workshop at its New York headquarters, in sessions from 4 to 8 January, 11 to 15 January or 9 to 13 August 2027, and those selected receive a $2,000 stipend, travel to and from New York, and housing.

Bain and Five Rings both run their sophomore programs for students in their second year of university, and Bain also sets a graduation window.

Bain's BEL is a program open to all second-year (sophomore) students completing a four-year undergraduate degree by winter 2028 or spring 2029. Five Rings' LINK 2027 focuses on current sophomores, and its posting states no graduation window.
