Applications run through five separate regional portals – Americas, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Australia and the Middle East – each with its own recruiting season on the firm's Oleeo system. The firm explicitly restricts candidates to "only one of our global offices per year."

The one-office-per-year rule is the constraint to plan around: a candidate cannot run two L.E.K. office processes in parallel as fallback, so the choice of office is itself a decision made before any case prep, and a wrong office choice cannot be retried inside the same recruiting year.

For undergraduates the firm runs a Summer Associate internship aimed at students between their junior and senior year. For advanced-degree life sciences candidates it runs a separate Link to L.E.K. immersive program open to PhD, post-doc, MD and PharmD students seeking full-time consulting roles; the 2026 edition ran 27-29 April 2026 virtually, with applications opening 2 February, an assessment deadline of 8 March and case interviews in late March, after which selected participants were invited to accelerated final-round interviews.

The Life Sciences track is the unusual one to plan around: it is not an MBA-equivalent program but a separate entry pipeline gated on doctorate-level life sciences study, and its application window opens months earlier than typical undergraduate Associate recruiting – a relevant candidate should treat it as its own application timeline rather than rolling it into the broader graduate-season calendar.

Its signature lines are commercial due diligence for private equity clients and its trademarked Edge Strategy® framework, and it maintains a Life Sciences franchise deep enough to support a separate advanced-degree entry program for PhD, post-doc, MD and PharmD candidates – a program most generalist strategy firms do not run. Vault and Management Consulted both placed the firm Top Ranked in their 2026 consulting rankings, displayed on the firm's careers page.

For an applicant choosing between mid-tier strategy houses, two of those facts shape early-career work concretely: a heavy commercial-due-diligence book means a junior associate is likely to see PE-backed transaction cases early in the rotation, and the life-sciences depth means a candidate with a healthcare interest can specialise without moving to a boutique to do so.
