Individual functions also run their own longer placements: FWD Hong Kong's Actuarial Internship is full-time and runs six to seven months, with the current posting offering a December 2026 to July 2027 start or a June 2027 to January 2028 start, open to students with no prior actuarial experience required. Separate internship and co-op postings also run market by market, including current openings in Thailand and Hong Kong outside the group-wide digital track.

Because FWD recruits interns market by market and function by function rather than on one global calendar, a candidate weighing more than one FWD location or track is comparing several separately timed, separately structured programs rather than a single one.

The group serves around 40 million customers across 10 Asian markets, a footprint that includes a minority stake in PT Asuransi BRI Life, the insurance arm of one of Indonesia's largest banks, acquired in 2020. At roughly a decade old, FWD reached this scale well inside a single career's worth of time, unlike most large regional insurers with century-long histories.

Because FWD's scale and public listing are both recent, they will not show up in older brand-recognition rankings the way a century-old peer's would, so it is worth checking the group's current footprint directly rather than assuming familiarity from general reputation.
