About the Role
The Capital Markets electronic offering serves to deliver the commercial and product strategy to our clients and deepen our commercial relationships. The eSales team is a specialized, strategy, and client-centric team supporting the bank’s electronic distribution strategy. The team's key responsibilities include understanding and guiding the bank’s distribution strategy based on clients’ evolving trading needs, partnering internally and externally to solve problems and generate growth, and leading change management efforts to maximize value from market electronification.
The successful candidate will gain strong exposure to commercial and transversal initiatives, working closely with Credit & Rates Sales and Trading teams across various products. This role involves developing client analytics, expanding client relationships, and implementing and tracking action plans to boost our electronic franchise.
Key Responsibilities
Intern Specific Responsibilities
- Serve as the key internal contact point for eSales analytics, working with internal stakeholders (Sales, Trading, Support) to generate relevant metrics and information to guide our business.
- Assist in client outreach alongside Sales and eSales to understand client expectations, trading styles, and electronic workflows.
- Support the development of automatic reporting capabilities based on internal feedback.
- Contribute to the timely preparation of reporting packs and assist with first-level business analysis.
- Assist in ad hoc projects related to electronic business management.
Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities
- Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory, and internal Compliance requirements, including the London Compliance manual and associated policies and procedures.
- Adhere to Financial Security requirements, including the prevention of Financial Crime and Fraud, and fulfilling reporting obligations to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer.
- Maintain the necessary knowledge to be fully qualified for the role and complete all mandatory training to maintain competence.
Candidate Criteria
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent Academic qualification, preferably in a Business or Scientific subject.
- Experience: Knowledge of quantitative analytics. Prior experience in a financial environment or related activities is desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office tools (strong knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint). Knowledge and experience in coding languages such as VBA, Python, and PowerBI.
- Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, initiative, proactivity, teamwork, and proven communication skills with commercial awareness.
