About the Role

CA-CIB's Global Markets Division is hiring entry-level Analysts across four desks in New York: Global Repo & Indexing (GRI), Equity Finance & Delta One, FX Non-Linear Trading, FX Options, FX – Emerging Markets (Brazil / LatAm), and Global Markets Structuring – Cross-Asset Analysts.

You will work directly alongside experienced traders and structurers, gaining exposure to the full lifecycle of trading and structuring activity from day one. Each placement offers a clear development path within Global Markets.

Work Authorization: Must be permanently authorized to work in the US. No visa sponsorship is available.

Key Responsibilities

Trading & Structuring Support

• Monitor positions, market data, and real-time developments across relevant asset classes; prompt flagging of anomalies to the desk.
• Support the pricing of derivatives, FX, rates, credit, equity, and secured funding products (e.g., TRS, structured repo).
• Assist in market-making activity and execute transactions within established risk parameters.
• Prepare marketing materials, term sheets, and product presentations for the sales force.

Tools & Analytics

• Build and maintain pricing models, spreadsheets, and analytical frameworks.
• Compile daily Profit & Loss (P&L), risk, and market commentary reports for management.
• Support flow analysis and position management across trading books.

Trade Processing & Risk

• Input trades into Front Office systems accurately and on time (Sophis, SFCM, Orchestrade).
• Assist with daily P&L reconciliation; escalate discrepancies appropriately.
• Monitor position and risk limits intraday; flag potential breaches to senior traders.

Compliance & Controls

• Comply with all legal, regulatory, and internal requirements, including CA-CIB's US Compliance Manual.
• Complete all mandatory training and adhere to KYC procedures and applicable conduct rules.
• Act as the first line of defense by identifying and escalating control issues or regulatory concerns.

Collaboration

• Partner with Sales, Quant Research, Legal, Compliance, Middle/Back Office, and IT.
• Liaise with global offices and contribute to team discussions on market strategy.

Candidate Criteria

Essential Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree/BSc in finance, math, statistics, economics, engineering, Computer Science, or a related major.
• Experience: 0-2 years of experience.
• Skills: Strong Excel proficiency and a solid grasp of financial markets and instruments.
• Language: Strong written and verbal English.
• Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work in the US and must not require Visa Sponsorship now or in the future (including F1, OPT, CPT).

Desirable Qualifications

• Master’s in Finance or Financial Economics.
• Internship experience in Capital Markets, trading, structuring, or a related quantitative role.
• Knowledge of Python, VBA, SQL, Bloomberg/Reuters, or specific product areas.
• Second language, derivative coursework, or trading simulation experience.

Licensing: FINRA Series 7 & 63 required upon hire (CA-CIB will support the process).
