Driven by the insights of approximately 26,000 people worldwide, we put our clients at the centre of everything we do, delivering access to, from and within Asia.
Global Markets Overview
Nomura’s Global Markets division handles client transactions for financial institutions, corporates, governments and investment funds around the world. We act as market makers, trading in fixed income and equity securities, including currencies, interest rates and credit in cash, derivatives and structured products. We have taken market-leading positions across the globe by leveraging the strength of our talent, client relationships and technology.
Programme Overview
We offer a nine-week Summer Internship for penultimate-year students interested in learning about the banking business. The programme will help you develop your technical knowledge, gain valuable on-the-job training, understand our culture and build new networks.
The first week is classroom-based training to enhance your key technical skills and enable you to perform on the desk during the internship. Following the training week, you will join one of our divisions for the remaining of the internship and complete tasks at a similar level to a first-year Analyst. At the end of the internship, strong performers will receive offers to join our Graduate Programme.
Global Markets Summer Analysts have the opportunity to complete two rotations across Trading, Structuring and Sales. Additional sessions include soft skills sessions, product presentations, business overviews and social events.
Training and Support
Summer Analysts will receive extensive training to build the skills needed to perform well during the internship. Training includes Financial Markets, Bloomberg, Excel, Conduct Risk and a variety of division-specific activities. Throughout the programme, you will be supported by a buddy, mentor and dedicated programme management team.
