Purpose of the Role

To gain experience of risk management skills, knowledge, and capabilities to deliver a broad range of compliance services to businesses and functions.

Accountabilities

  • Guide the business’ adherence to the Compliance risk management framework.
  • Provide advisory services to colleagues on regulations related to specific products and services.
  • Utilise data and analytics to proactively monitor and influence the business Compliance risk landscape.
  • Develop Compliance risk insight and understanding, including laws, rules and regulations, financial crime, and conduct.
  • Train business stakeholders.

Analyst Expectations

  • Perform prescribed activities in a timely manner and to a high standard, consistently driving continuous improvement.
  • Apply in-depth technical knowledge and experience in the assigned area of expertise.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the underlying principles and concepts within the area of expertise.

Compliance teams research and investigate, gather and analyse complex data, follow leads to identify risks and evaluate threats, and help predict trends. Work may include surveillance and control, product design and implementation, and trusted advisory support across the global business.

Eligibility and Requirements

  • You must be in your penultimate year of university and graduating in 2028.
  • You must have a genuine passion for Compliance and an enthusiastic mindset to empower you to thrive and make an impact.
  • The location for this role is indicated in the job title, and you will be based at that location. If you receive a return offer to the graduate programme, your location will be the same as during your internship.
  • Barclays will accept applications from candidates who require visa sponsorship to work in the UK, and will provide a skilled worker visa for successful applicants who meet the Home Office’s eligibility criteria.
  • If you are not eligible to receive a skilled worker visa and Barclays cannot secure a skilled worker visa for you, you must have your own legal right to work in the UK on a full-time basis from June 2027 to August 2027.
