Purpose of the Role
To participate in the day-to-day activities of the UK Corporate Banking division, providing insights and expertise that help senior colleagues make informed, client-focused decisions, develop new products and services, and identify new market opportunities.
Accountabilities
- Management of client relationships and provision of customer service support to clients, responding to product and service inquiries and processing transactions, under steadily decreasing supervision.
- Execution of small research projects to support strategic decision-making, preparation of presentations and reports to communicate research findings, and collaboration with senior management to implement those findings for UK Corporate Banking.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
- Participation in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Identification of opportunities, development of business cases, and management of the deployment and launch of new products and services for UK Corporate Banking.

- Gaining and maintaining an understanding of the role, how the team integrates to achieve overall objectives, alongside knowledge of other teams within the function.
- Working within well-defined procedures that may involve a variety of work routines and demonstrating understanding of those procedures.
- Evaluating and selecting appropriate alternatives from defined options.
- Making judgments based on the analysis of factual information.
- Building relationships with stakeholders and customers to identify and address needs, supporting a smooth operating process and handling sensitive issues as required.

Eligibility Requirements
Qualifications: For this apprenticeship opportunity, you must have 3 A-levels at BBB (or equivalent) and GCSE Mathematics grade 6 and English Language grade 4.

To apply, you must meet the Government's apprentice funding requirements applicable to you (detailed at https://www.gov.uk/ for apprentices in England and https://www.saas.gov.uk/ for apprentices in Scotland).
Government apprentice funding requirements include a 3-year residence requirement (subject to certain exceptions). To qualify for this funding, you must have the legal right to work for the full duration of the programme from the point of enrolment, with no gaps in your legal right to work or dependency on future visa applications during the programme period (August 2027 to August 2031).
Furthermore, you must not have undertaken any previous study, education, training, qualifications, or apprenticeship, gained learning or competence from prior work experience, or received prior funding or financial support that renders you ineligible for the Government's apprentice funding.
