Job Description
Join Barclays as an Investment Banking Briefing Funds & Sponsors Coverage, Analyst. In this role, you will perform financial modeling, valuation evaluation, and industry research to support client engagements. You will also prepare pitch books, client presentations, investment memorandums, and market updates. You will assist senior bankers in guiding relationships with private equity firms, asset managers, and other financial sponsors. Responsibilities include evaluating sponsor investment strategies, portfolio companies, fundraising activities, and market trends, as well as monitoring industry developments and transaction activity. You will maintain client databases, transaction pipelines, and internal reporting materials, and identify cross-selling opportunities across investment banking products and services.
This role is located in New York, NY, and is regulated by FINRA.
Salary Range: $75,000 (Minimum) - $125,000 (Maximum). Note: This range includes only base salary or base hourly rate and does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
Purpose of the Role
To establish and nurture profitable partnerships with both corporate and individual clients. This role acts as the bridge between the bank's offerings and client needs, ensuring mutual benefit and long-term success.
Key Responsibilities (Accountabilities)
- Manage client relationships to identify financial goals, challenges, and risk tolerance. Analyze data from various sources, including investment portfolios and cash flow, to identify trends, insights, areas for improvement, and opportunities for additional services.
- Research and understand the client's industry trends, regulatory landscape, and competitive environment to inform strategic recommendations.
- Design customized solutions that address the client's specific needs and objectives, incorporating a range of products and services from the bank's portfolio.
- Communicate the value proposition of proposed solutions, justify recommendations, and negotiate terms beneficial for both the client and the bank.
- Provide guidance to clients by offering expert investment advice, support for risk management and wealth management strategies, and updates on market trends to ensure a positive and continuous relationship.
- Assess financial, legal, and operational risks associated with client relationships and implement measures to minimize potential losses.
- Document all client interactions, transactions, and agreements to ensure transparency and auditability, and communicate findings effectively to support product development, service offerings, and the overall bank strategy.
- Monitor client satisfaction, revenue generated, and other relevant metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of relationship management efforts.

Required Qualifications and Experience
