Purpose of the Role

To participate in the day-to-day activities of the Markets division, providing insights and expertise that help senior colleagues make informed decisions, develop new products and services, and identify new market opportunities.

Accountabilities

• Execute small research projects to support strategic decision-making; prepare presentations and reports to communicate research findings; collaborate with senior management to implement research findings for the global markets division.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Identify opportunities, develop business cases, and manage the deployment and launch of new products and services for the global markets division.
• Manage client relationships and provide customer service support to clients and customers under steadily decreasing supervision; respond to questions about products and services; process transactions.
• Manage the development and implementation of financial models and strategies that support decision-making in the global markets division.
• Train and mentor junior colleagues.

• Be in your penultimate or final year of your degree in any discipline.
• Ideally have a keen interest in business or finance with curiosity to learn.

• Barclays will accept applications from candidates who require visa sponsorship to work in the UK and will provide a skilled worker visa for successful applicants if they meet the Home Office’s eligibility criteria for a skilled worker visa.
• If you are not eligible for a skilled worker visa, you will be required to have your own legal right to work in the UK on a full-time basis from your programme start date to your programme end date.
