Jefferies Summer Interns have the opportunity to gain insight into a global, client-focused investment bank and experience an entrepreneurial environment where employees can make an immediate impact and are rewarded for performance. Interns will be exposed to Jefferies’ full range of products and leading industry expertise. Our lean team structure provides hands-on experience and helps interns build lasting personal and professional relationships with peers and senior professionals.

Following an orientation program, interns begin working on day-to-day responsibilities with support from colleagues serving as instructors and mentors throughout the internship. Interns receive formal performance reviews and work on projects involving research, analysis, and recommendations. Interns are encouraged to think creatively, offer input, and add value from day one. Throughout the internship, interns are expected to pursue projects with excellence, a collaborative spirit, and integrity.

Jefferies seeks candidates eager to make an impact through real, hands-on work. Successful interns are able to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Candidates must demonstrate professionalism and relationship management skills, along with strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills.

The work is fast-paced, challenging, and intellectually stimulating. Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines, be adaptable, and work independently and as part of a team are essential. Candidates should have a strong academic background and be pursuing a four-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent program. Jefferies hires interns who have studied a variety of disciplines.

Desired Background and Skills

• Undergraduate candidate pursuing a Bachelor’s degree
• Expected graduation between December 2027 – June 2028 and December 2028 – June 2029
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Team player who excels working independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels

The Jefferies Campus Recruiting Intern will gain insight into a global, client-focused investment bank and an entrepreneurial environment where employees can make an immediate impact. Interns will be exposed to Jefferies’ full range of products and leading industry expertise. Interns can learn the full lifecycle of the recruiting process and the general Human Resources function.

Intern Responsibilities (May Include)

• Coordinate event logistics, including presentations, interviews, campus activities and events, conferences, and related items
• Assist in planning and executing interviews, in office and on campus (e.g., create interview schedules and develop supporting materials; secure space; assist with candidate travel; manage interview sign-ups; greet candidates; arrange catering)
• Use web-based applicant tracking systems to maintain candidate data and reporting
• Partner with the business to understand hiring needs
• Evaluate historical data to identify best recruiting practices
• Identify opportunities to enhance programs and processes
• Perform other administrative responsibilities related to campus recruiting

Compensation

The salary for this role is $75,000 (pro-rated for the 10-week internship program).
