About Jefferies Finance LLC (JFIN)

Jefferies Finance LLC (“JFIN”) was founded in 2004 as a 50/50 joint venture between Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (“MassMutual”) and Jefferies. JFIN has two primary lines of business:

• Loan Underwriting and Arrangement: Underwriting and arranging leveraged loans for Private Equity sponsors and their portfolio companies globally.
• Private Credit Investment Management: Through Jefferies Credit Partners (“JCP”), JFIN is a direct lender and investor in broadly syndicated loans, managing portfolios of senior debt investments made primarily to Private Equity Sponsor-owned companies. Investments are managed across private credit funds, SMAs, and CLOs.

What You Can Expect

Following an orientation and training program, Summer Interns begin working on day-to-day responsibilities with support from colleagues who serve as instructors and mentors throughout the 10-week engagement. The program also includes social and informative events to support professional development and networking. Interns receive formal performance reviews.

• Work on projects from day one, with opportunities to think creatively, contribute ideas, and support the team.
• Operate with a collaborative spirit, pursue projects with excellence, and uphold the highest levels of integrity.
• JFIN Summer Analysts gain exposure to private credit underwriting, origination, and business development.

What We Look For in a Candidate

• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Adaptability as part of a team and independently
• Teamwork oriented, with strong communication skills across all levels of the organization
• Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Fluency in French, German, Dutch, or a Nordic language is an advantage
• Strong academic background; currently in your penultimate year of study, with an anticipated graduation date of Spring/Summer 2028
• While accounting or finance background can be helpful, Summer Interns may have studied a variety of degree disciplines
