Jefferies Compliance Summer Analyst Program – New York
Jefferies Summer Interns gain insight into a global, client-focused investment bank and experience an entrepreneurial environment where employees have the opportunity to make an immediate impact and are rewarded for performance. Interns are exposed to Jefferies’ full range of products and leading industry expertise.
Following an enriching orientation program, Interns begin working on their day-to-day responsibilities with support from colleagues serving as instructors and mentors throughout the internship program. Interns receive formal performance reviews. In addition to working on projects that incorporate research, analysis, and recommendations, Interns are challenged to think creatively, offer their input, and add value to the team from day one.
Interns are expected to pursue their projects with excellence, a collaborative spirit, and the highest levels of integrity.
What We Look For in a Candidate

- Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills

- Adaptable; able to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong academic background; pursuing a four-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent program
- Although a background in finance can be helpful, candidates who have studied a variety of disciplines are considered
Desired Background and Skills
- Undergraduate candidate pursuing a Bachelor’s degree
- Expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2028
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Team player who excels working both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels
- Positive attitude with a desire to learn and grow
- Superior judgment, professionalism, poise, ability to maintain confidentiality, and assertiveness

Work With Us – Opportunities in Compliance
The Jefferies Compliance team provides Interns practical experience of what it is like to work in the Compliance department of a Broker-Dealer.
Intern responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Working closely with a tight-knit team of Compliance professionals with years of experience from top law firms, securities regulators, and various investment banks
- Learning how the Compliance Department of a firm offering full-service investment banking, capital markets, and asset management operates in the financial industry
- Gaining exposure and hands-on experience with the technology tools that support the department
- Completing a dedicated project and presenting to the Compliance senior leadership team

Compensation
The salary for this role is $75,000 (pro-rated for the 10-week internship program).
