Churchill Summer Internship, Senior Lending/Underwriting

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Research, extract, and analyze relevant data to solve problems, draw logical conclusions, and make investment recommendations that support business decisions.
• Use industry research tools to capture, research, and synthesize essential industry knowledge to support informed investment decisions.
• Research and analyze historical financials, profit margins, strengths, risks, and mitigants to support expected cash and downside forecasts.

Requirements

• Preferred candidate is a rising Senior (Class of 2028) expected to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Computational Finance, Economics, Accounting, or another quantitatively focused curriculum.
• Strong attention to detail; careful review of facts and figures, with the ability to quickly identify errors and ensure information consistency.
• Superior Excel and financial modeling skills, with demonstrated ability to express complex ideas clearly and concisely.
• Knowledge of the middle market levered lending market, customers, and competitors is strongly preferred.
• Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills, including the ability to synthesize and convey complex business and marketing concepts; effective, strong active listening skills.
• Proven track record of success collaborating in a fast-paced, results-driven team environment.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to negotiate, influence, and gain credibility.
• Innovative and creative thinker; ability to connect previously unrelated ideas and project how potential concepts may play out.
