The online assessment is not timed, and a candidate who completed one earlier in the same year is not asked to retake it for a subsequent application. Because vacancies close on a rolling basis as places fill, an applicant who delays submission can find an assessment-centre slot a week later already pointing into a closed cohort.

Four named early-careers tracks sit alongside each other:

• Graduate Programme – around 160 Graduate Analysts join each year and start with a six-week Global Graduate Training Programme in London with the full intake before deploying to teams
• Internships – Global Advisory and Wealth Management summer placements opening with about a week of training, plus longer "Long Term Internships" of several months across Global Advisory hubs in Paris, London, Frankfurt, Singapore and Hong Kong
• Early Insights – typically week-long immersion programmes for school, college and university students, including those in their final year
• Apprenticeships – earn-and-study route to a recognised professional qualification, an alternative to university

The current early-careers opportunities listing shows 60+ live roles spanning Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter intern cycles across Europe and Asia plus US and UK Summer Analyst programmes for 2027. The four tracks target different academic stages, so a candidate's year group and degree status, rather than free choice, determines which tracks are actually open at submission.

Three things stand out on the firm's own published material:

• A single 160-strong global Graduate cohort is brought to London for six weeks of training together before deploying to teams, so the peer network spans geographies before day one on the desk.
• The early-careers menu extends past the typical penultimate-year summer-analyst funnel: continental European Long Term Internships of several months, a UK Apprenticeship earn-and-study route, and Early Insight programmes that take students as early as their school years.
• A strict seven-application-per-cycle cap with duplicates disregarded forces tight prioritisation, including across the same programme in different regions, which still all count against the seven.

The seven-application cap is the practical filter: a candidate who would normally bid widely across investment banks has to spend Rothschild applications on the geographies and tracks they most want rather than casting a wide net.
