Overview

This role leads, from a technical perspective, the reports automation and data analysis efforts to support the ERM-RDA Team Lead in running the overall RDA program. Responsibilities include analyzing business requirements, developing code for reports automation, conducting data analysis with risk/business data from various systems, creating data visualizations with BI tools, leading data-related testing in user acceptance testing for IT system implementations, and collaborating with IT to support data issue investigation and resolution.

Responsibilities

Data Analysis and Risk Reporting

  • Perform data analysis and create data visualization dashboards using business intelligence tools.
  • Conduct data requirements analysis and testing to support IT system implementation projects and initiatives.
  • Maintain and enhance the data mapping and data model of the centralized risk data repository.
  • Coordinate with the IT team to identify, investigate, and resolve data issues.
  • Communicate with stakeholders from business and risk management to address data and reporting needs.
  • Create business requirements specifications and other documentation for reports automation and system implementation.
  • Support senior team members and guide junior team members in reports automation and data analysis, including planning, assigning tasks, and providing feedback.

RDA Program Management

  • Facilitate RDA program activities and initiatives, including RDA Working Group activities, gap analysis, and self-evaluations against regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to implementing RDA compliance actions and coordinate with other relevant systems.
  • Support RDA-related requests from Head Office and/or regulators.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree required; preferred majors include Financial Engineering, Computer Science, Business Analysis, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or related fields. Master’s degree preferred.

  • 1+ years (Associate) or 4+ years (AVP) of data analysis, business analysis, and reporting experience.
  • 1+ years (Associate) or 4+ years (AVP) of system development or project management experience.
  • 1+ years of financial or banking industry experience preferred.
  • Risk management experience preferred (credit risk, market risk); banking experience and management experience preferred for AVP.
  • Solid coding skills (e.g., SQL, Python) and strong data analysis abilities with large datasets and multiple systems.
  • Solid understanding of database and information systems concepts (SQL Server, data warehousing) and general familiarity with financial products and banking practices.
  • Understanding of financial regulatory requirements (e.g., BCBS 239) preferred, especially for AVP.
  • Professional certifications such as CBAP, FRM, PMP, or CFA preferred.
  • Bilingual ability in Chinese preferred but not required.

Compensation

Actual salary is commensurate with candidate’s relevant years of experience, skillset, education, and qualifications.

Pay Range: USD $65,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 per year.
