Controls and Validation (Technology Unit)

Team Overview

The Controls & Validation function within the Technology unit is responsible for providing management with oversight over the full spectrum of technology risks. This includes staying current with the latest regulatory developments from bodies such as MAS and CSA, assessing emerging risks (including AI, cloud, and quantum computing), and acting as the primary liaison for regulatory and statutory audits.

Learning Objectives

The selected intern can expect to acquire:

• Intimate knowledge of how regulators work with SGX to manage cybersecurity risks.
• Experience in preparing technology risk briefings for the CIO and senior management.
• Exposure to critical technology developments, including AI, cloud, and quantum computing.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop a technology risk and controls management dashboard.
• Assist in developing analytics scripts for controls validation.
• Assist with handling requests from regulators.
• Gain experience in implementing Claude agents for workflow improvement.

Qualifications and Skills

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

• MUST be familiar with good dashboard UI/UX designs for data visualizations.
• MUST be a self-starter and driven to learn about technology risks within the financial services industry.
• Understands the fundamental concepts of risks and controls.
• Knowledgeable in data analytics.
• Good understanding of using AI tools such as Copilot, Gemini, or Claude.
• Possesses good communication and presentation skills.
