Bloomberg Media is seeking a proactive, focused, and flexible individual proficient in broadcast operations who can collaborate effectively in a live control room and studio environment. This role requires providing coverage as both a Teleprompter Operator and an A2 Operator, working closely with on-air talent, engineering, editorial teams, and global counterparts to ensure high-quality visual production daily.

A Teleprompter Operator uses control room software to scroll scripted material, ensuring the text speed matches the presenter's pacing and adjusting smoothly to improvisations. The operator must understand prompting cues, set up the teleprompter, operate it, and communicate any issues to management and engineering teams.

An A2 Operator is responsible for dressing microphones and IFBs for anchors and reporters, handling various microphone types. This role requires constant communication with the floor manager to relay necessary information to the A1 and control room.

This position requires the ability to work flexible shifts, which may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

What You Will Do

• Operate the teleprompter during both live and taped events.
• Work directly with on-air talent featuring different speech patterns.
• Ensure the teleprompter system is fully operational before any on-air programming.
• Dress and manage wireless and wired microphones and IFB earpieces.
• Monitor battery levels and provide real-time troubleshooting.
• Conduct basic studio maintenance alongside the team.
• Read, follow, and execute all relevant tasks detailed in a live news broadcast rundown (ENPS experience is a plus).
• Communicate potential impacts to Operations Team Leads and the broader team.
• Assist the engineering team as required.

What You Will Need

• A Bachelor's degree or at least one year of experience working in a live TV environment.
• Familiarity with the dynamics of a live studio environment.
• Willingness to work weekends, overnight shifts, early mornings, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to perform effectively in highly distracting settings and under considerable pressure.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $30 - $35 USD Hourly

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level.
