Finance Consultant, R2R ( record to report ) - 6 months contract

Job Summary

The R2R (Record to Report / General Ledger) Consultant is responsible for ensuring the precise and timely completion of month-end closing and financial reporting to Management. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of accounting processes, inter-company activities, and compliance with statutory and internal regulations.

This role is vital to maintain the financial integrity and compliance of the organization, playing a crucial role in financial operations by ensuring accuracy and collaboration both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities

• Timely and accurate month-end closing and financial reporting for management.
• Handling various accounting processes and tasks, including receipts and payments interface reconciliation, General Ledger (GL) management, and other key reconciliations.
• Coordinating and liaising with internal parties and the firm’s network to support intercompany activities.
• Coordinating and liaising with external parties such as external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, and local government authorities as required.
• Supporting and ensuring compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filing requirements (GST), audits, procedures, and forms, both statutory and internal.
• Assisting in the redesign of current processes and projects to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Performing other related ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong knowledge of month-end closing processes and financial statement preparation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work well with people from different backgrounds.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a good command of English (written and oral).
• Sound sense of logic and analytical thinking.
• Must be agile and open to a dynamic working environment.
• Ability to ensure compliance with statutory and internal regulations.
• Experience liaising with external auditors, tax agents, and government authorities.
• Capability to assist in new process and system implementations.
