Investment Banking Analyst - Transportation Group

Our New York office is seeking an Investment Banking Analyst to join the Transportation Group. The successful candidate will support regional and international clients on a wide range of complex transactions. These transactions include acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, shareholder relations, recapitalizations, demergers, leveraged buyouts, defenses against unsolicited takeover attempts, strategic advisory assignments, and execution of public and private capital markets transactions.

The role involves working closely with professionals across the firm to deliver high-quality advice to clients. You will play an important role on a team alongside senior professionals who encourage creative thinking beyond just the numbers.

Qualifications and Requirements

• One year of experience in investment banking or capital markets is required.
• Top educational credentials; Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Interest in developing a career in investment banking.
• Extraordinarily high level of motivation, focus on work quality, attention to detail, strong work ethic, and decision-making abilities.
• Analytical, quantitative, adaptive, hungry, a self-starter, a leader, a team player, multitasker, and results-oriented individual.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Experience in the transportation or industrials industry is preferred, but not required.
• Must possess or obtain required Series licensing.
• This role requires an immediate start date.

Compensation Information

The expected base pay rate for this role at the commencement of employment is between $110,000 and $125,000 per year. Note that base pay will be determined on an individualized basis and represents only part of the total compensation package, which may include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
