Introduction

Rapid advances in artificial intelligence, an ageing society, geopolitical forces and other megatrends are affecting jobs, skills and ways of working. Temasek’s Ecosystem Workforce Resilience (EWR) team aims to shape the future of work and influence strategies that strengthen workforce resilience across Temasek’s extensive ecosystem of strategic assets and investments.

At EWR, you will be part of a team that leads strategic initiatives to advance the EWR agenda in support of Temasek’s T2030 strategy to build a resilient and forward-looking portfolio. The team leverages Temasek’s ecosystem footprint, Centres of Excellence and catalytic capital to advance human capital through workforce-related strategies and initiatives.

You will gain first-hand insight into thought leadership on how organisations are rethinking traditional talent management and workforce development strategies in light of AI and other megatrends. You will have the opportunity to shape transformative strategies in this area and network with influential stakeholders in business, government and the labour movement.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the conceptualisation and validation of workforce resilience proposals and ideas.
• Contribute to the development of strategies to obtain buy-in for proposals and ideas, and support their implementation.
• Conduct horizon scans of emerging workforce-related trends, technologies and regulations, using AI as needed to ensure timely updates and keep the team ahead of the curve.
• Support the planning, organisation and management of workforce-related initiatives, including engagement and networking platforms and executive briefing sessions.
• Support the implementation of the annual Temasek Tripartite Conversations, including content development and stakeholder management.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Economics, Environmental Sciences, Human Resources, Humanities and Social Sciences, International Relations, Public Policy, Law or a related field. Year 2 and 3 students are welcome to apply.
• Relevant internship experience in government or trade relations, public policy, or a matrix organisation would be an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate and present work effectively.
• Detail-oriented, organised and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Highly professional and discreet, with the ability to maintain confidentiality when working on sensitive projects and information.
• Experience with emerging skills in the new AI-led economy, such as familiarity with large language models (LLMs), generative AI use-case development and prompt engineering, would be an advantage.
