Introduction

Temasek’s Public Affairs team seeks to position, project and protect the Temasek brand and reputation. The team is made up of three pillars:

  • Brand Building and Positioning
  • Media, Transactions and Issues Management
  • Reputation Management

We adopt an agile and multidisciplinary approach to communicate and engage with our stakeholders, as well as to deepen their understanding of Temasek—what we do and why we do it. This work includes proactive media and issues management. We also reach out directly to external audiences through our social platforms, curating and developing content for more meaningful storytelling.

This internship supports Public Affairs’ Digital Newsroom function in strategic storytelling, digital content development, content marketing and strategic digital communications. The role involves creating visual media, including videos, graphics and animations; writing short- and long-form content; and supporting project and campaign management.

Responsibilities

  • Support digital communications strategy through research, ideation and execution of campaigns aligned with key messages and strategic priorities.
  • Conceptualise and develop original short- and medium-format video content for web and social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube and Telegram, anchored to institutional narrative themes and identified external audiences.
  • Support all facets of video production, including shooting, scripting, transcription, editing, voiceover work and presenting, as required.
  • Create and develop illustrations, infographics and animations to support corporate and institutional narratives through digital storytelling.
  • Write original short-form content, such as social media posts, and long-form content, such as articles, across Temasek’s channels.
  • Track the performance of visual assets to ensure campaign objectives are met.
  • Manage vendors and content partners in content creation and campaign execution.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Business, Economics, Finance or a related field. Students from other disciplines with a strong interest in public affairs and communications are welcome to apply.
  • Prior experience in corporate communications, public relations or marketing is an advantage.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with photo and video editing tools, such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom and Premiere Pro, is an advantage for digital content roles.
  • Basic proficiency in using generative AI and tools such as Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT to drive productivity and process efficiency.
  • Able to commit full-time from January or February to July 2027 for six months while remaining enrolled in a recognised university.
  • Include your availability and expected graduation date in your application.
  • Submit both a cover letter and CV in PDF format. Writing samples, creative portfolios or a short writing test may be requested.

What We Are Looking For

  • Excellent written and spoken English skills, with a proven ability to articulate complicated concepts.
  • A passion for digital media and content marketing as means of communication.
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to multitask and handle complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Active listening skills and the ability to understand assignment expectations, including deadlines and deliverables.
  • Critical thinking, curiosity, resourcefulness and an eagerness to learn.
  • A meticulous and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to identify, manage and resolve issues.
  • A collaborative, self-motivated and proactive approach, with comfort working amid ambiguity.
