Position Summary

The Analyst will be an integral member of Nomura’s Americas Wholesale Strategy division, supporting global, regional, and divisional strategy projects. This role provides exposure to the banking industry across Fixed Income, Equities, and Investment Banking, and involves close collaboration with global and regional strategy team members, business heads, CAOs, finance, and other functional teams.

Role Description

• Work as part of the Americas Wholesale Strategy division on global, regional, and divisional projects.
• Support strategy team seniors and business leads on key initiatives related to the Americas and Global Wholesale.
• Conduct business performance reviews and formulate strategic options to grow and improve profitability.
• Assess operating environment and imperatives for the Wholesale business.
• Lead or contribute to projects on business optimization, restructuring, and cost efficiency.
• Evaluate inorganic growth opportunities and perform acquisition screening.
• Analyze competitive and macro/market environments using public data, proprietary information, and industry reports.
• Monitor and analyze quarterly financial results of competitors.
• Prepare presentations for senior management board meetings, town halls, and off-sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with business performance reviews and strategic option development.
• Conduct market and competitive analyses to inform strategy.
• Support the preparation of senior leadership communications and materials.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 0–3 years of experience in a consulting/strategy role (financial services experience preferred).
• Strong analytical and Excel skills.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint and creating presentations.
• Quick learner with high-quality communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task efficiently and meet project deadlines.
• Deep interest in macroeconomics, global markets, and investment banking.

Compensation & Benefits

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $110,000 and $125,000 per year. The total compensation package may include additional elements such as a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, discretionary awards, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits). Details will be provided if an offer is extended. Base pay offered may vary based on location, title, duties, knowledge, skills, and experience.
