Introduction

Investment Stewardship plays an important role in driving long-term capital value across Temasek’s investments. The team advances strong governance practices and deepens capital markets access across Temasek’s portfolio companies. It engages with companies, institutional investors, brokers, governance standard setters and regulators, translating insights into sustainable value outcomes.

This role offers hands-on exposure to equity market dynamics and how a global investor works with portfolio companies on investor perception, market access and long-term value creation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on capital market structure developments, investor positioning and capital raising strategies relevant to listed portfolio companies.
• Synthesize insights on investor sentiment and trends across key markets and portfolio companies.
• Support team engagement and participate in selected discussions with analysts, brokers, investors and internal stakeholders.
• Help track capital markets activities and engagement outcomes to inform portfolio priorities.

Requirements

• Be able to commit full-time for a minimum of 20 weeks. Interns able to commit to a full-time, five-day-per-week internship or a minimum of four days per week are strongly preferred.
• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business, Accountancy, Economics or a related field.
• Demonstrate a genuine interest in capital markets, equity market dynamics, investor engagement and investment analysis, with a strong grasp of financial concepts.
• Possess strong quantitative and analytical skills, with comfort working with financial data and tools such as Excel. Exposure to Bloomberg or FactSet is an advantage.
• Have good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Be able to work independently and collaboratively with various stakeholders.
