Summer Associate – Capital Structure Advisory (CSA)

Moelis’s Summer Associate Program offers a unique experience on Wall Street. As a Summer Associate in the Capital Structure Advisory (CSA) Group, you will advise companies, boards, financial sponsors, creditors, and governments on complex challenges, including liability management transactions, recapitalizations, financings, distressed M&A, and both out-of-court and in-court restructurings.

In the Capital Structure Advisory Group, you will work across every industry and on both company-side and credit-side mandates. You will develop a differentiated skill set spanning capital structure analysis, credit documentation review, valuation, and multi-party negotiation. This role provides meaningful exposure to senior bankers and clients as you lay the foundation for your career in investment banking.

Responsibilities

Summer Associates are expected to assume significant levels of responsibility and demonstrate intellectual curiosity, leadership, and analytical aptitude. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Financial analysis and modeling
• Managing a team
• Preparing client presentations
• Interacting with senior bankers and clients

A sophisticated level of interpersonal skills is required.

Program Overview

• A 10-week summer internship
• Educational and social events to develop a better understanding of the industry and the Firm
• A one-week training program that includes financial modeling and valuation training

Requirements

To be considered, you must:

• Currently be enrolled in an MBA (or equivalent) graduate program with a graduation date between December 2027 and July 2028
• Apply to only one location for the 2027 Summer Associate, Investment Banking position
• Complete the Suited assessment

Compensation
