Analyst, Credit Trading – Private Credit
Join the Private Credit Financing team in London as an Analyst within the Corporate & Investment Bank’s Credit Trading and Financing organization. In this fast-paced, dynamic role, you will evaluate middle-market credit opportunities, assess risks, perform in-depth credit analysis, and develop valuation recommendations across a wide variety of industries.
You will work closely with senior analysts to analyze and value diverse credit assets, support client borrowing needs, and contribute to the assessment of new loan originations. The role provides opportunities to develop your skills, gain exposure to a range of credit assets, and make a meaningful impact while collaborating with a highly experienced team.
Responsibilities
- Analyze middle-market credit investments in collaboration with senior analysts.
- Perform credit analysis of portfolio loan investments, identifying business risks and mitigating factors.
- Develop draft mark recommendations for new loans by analyzing the underlying business, credit structure, loan spread, and relevant information.
- Conduct financial analysis, financial modeling, credit underwriting, and transaction documentation.
- Monitor the portfolio through ongoing reviews of sector trends and quarterly financial performance.
- Support corporate client borrowing needs and deliver value as part of a collaborative team.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Engineering, Accounting, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Proficiency in GAAP accounting, financial reporting analysis, and financial modeling using Excel.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Entrepreneurial work ethic, including self-motivation, intellectual curiosity, and eagerness to learn.
- Superior time management and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage live transactions and daily tasks while maintaining focus on client needs.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience in a credit role, such as Credit or Market Risk or Credit Portfolio Management, or experience analyzing equity or credit investments.
- Experience in banking, capital markets, or investment management.
- Master’s degree in Finance or a CFA qualification.
- Coding or automation skills.
