PwC Deals Forensic Services assists clients in preventing, responding to, and remediating important matters relating to fraud, bribery and corruption, and economic crimes. Our team has extensive experience in conducting internal investigations, performing risk assessments and due diligence, and enhancing corporate compliance programs. We help clients address challenges related to fraud and compliance, manage time-sensitive crises, solve important problems, and mitigate legal, regulatory, and business risks.

We serve multinational and local clients across a wide range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, financial services, automotive, manufacturing, technology, and consumer goods.

Job Description and Responsibilities

As a leading forensics services team, we use advanced methodologies, combined with forensic accounting, forensic technology, data analysis, and traditional business consulting skills, to help clients address important issues.

You will participate in a series of forensic projects as a member of the Forensic Accounting or Forensic Technology sub-team, including fraud investigation, risk assessment and due diligence, compliance review, litigation support, and more. Responsibilities include:

1. Analyze and review financial documents

   • Review purchase/reimbursement transactions and related supporting documents.
   • Analyze accounting data and fund flow to identify anomalies.

2. Review electronic documents and support evidence collection

   • Review relevant emails and chat records of the investigation subject.
   • Sort out relevant findings and fraud facts.

3. Assist in preparing working papers and reports

   • Clearly and completely record the working process and summarize the working papers.
   • Assist in drafting and delivering reports, and translating reports.

4. Support on-site visits and interviews

   • Assist in completing on-site investigation and evidence collection work.
   • Record interview minutes.

5. Other support tasks

   • Document translation.
   • Format adjustments for work proposals and business development materials.

Degree Requirements

We are looking for graduates from all disciplines, with preferences as follows:

• For Forensic Accounting: Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Management.
• For Forensic Technology: Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or Electronic Engineering.

Personal Attributes

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good communication skills (Mainland China offices: fluency in English and Mandarin, both spoken and written is essential; Hong Kong SAR office: fluency in spoken and written English is essential; fluency in Mandarin is an advantage).
• Well-organised and able to work independently.
• Team player who works effectively under pressure.
• Strong interest in the field of Forensics.
• Desire, commitment, and ability to obtain relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CPA or appropriate technology-related certifications).

Preferred Skills for Forensic Technology Candidates

• Computer/mobile forensics, eDiscovery, and information security.
• PC and server hardware, operating systems, and server email software.
• SQL and RDBMS.
• Programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, etc.
• BI/data visualisation tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, QlikView, etc.
• ETL and data preparation tools such as Alteryx, SSIS, etc.
