Role: Financial Planning (Balance Sheet Management) Intern

Division: Global Corporate Banking Division for Asia – Financial Planning (GCBDA – FP)

Internship Period: 11 January 2027 – 30 June 2027

Job Description

The GCIB APAC Financial Planning team tracks and evaluates the performance of the portfolio, prioritizes and allocates resources to support the growth of the business optimally, and generates insights for management decisions.

The position focuses on generating insights, including but not limited to explaining historical data trends, validating strategies, and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support for in-depth business analysis of portfolio exposures, generating impactful insights that inform top-level management decisions.
  • Manage and run datasets and reporting; maintain data integrity across datasets.
  • Perform reconciliation of data and reports, and support optimization.
  • Collaborate with other teams/countries on data requests and support.

Job Requirements

  • Proactive and able to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Committed and flexible; able to work with tight deadlines.
  • Analytical mind with an inclination for problem solving; enjoys working with large datasets.
  • Knowledge of programming languages and analytical tools, as well as an understanding of financial processes, is an advantage.
  • Any disciplines are welcomed.

Additional Information

This internship role is based in Singapore and is open to Singaporean and PR students only. In Singapore, MUFG internship partners include National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore Management University, Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), and Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS).
