Analyst, Equity & Deferred Compensation

Evercore is looking for an Analyst, Equity & Deferred Compensation to join the Human Capital Group’s Compensation team. The role is responsible for the accurate, compliant, and efficient administration of Evercore’s equity and deferred compensation programs, including Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), deferred cash awards, deferred cash dividends, participant communications, audit/SOX controls, financial reporting support, and related processes. The role reports directly to the Vice President of Equity & Deferred Compensation and may also collaborate with other areas of the Compensation function.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Administer Evercore’s equity and deferred compensation programs, including RSUs, deferred cash awards, deferred cash dividends, vesting, deliveries, deferral elections, forfeitures, and employee lifecycle events.
  • Perform data entry, maintenance, review, and analysis of deferred compensation data using key systems including Fidelity Stock Plan Services, EWM Global, and Workday.
  • Own core operating processes, controls, and reporting related to equity and deferred compensation, including monthly reporting, reconciliations, SOX/audit support, Board and Finance materials, proxy support, SEC filings, and other regulatory or tax-related deliverables.
  • Review offer letter terms related to deferred compensation awards, including calculating and/or reviewing Deferred Compensation award calculations.
  • Work with Legal Counsel to draft, review, and distribute Deferred Compensation award agreements.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Compliance, Tax, and Payroll teams on various projects.
  • Prepare SEC filings (Form 3, 4, and 5).
  • Serve as the point of contact for employee questions related to equity.
  • Improve the participant experience through clearer employee communications, education materials, onboarding support, FAQs, and other resources.
  • Stay current on industry best practices in equity and deferred compensation.

Specific Qualifications

  • $75,000–$85,000 base salary range (as stated in the source material).
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in equity compensation, deferred compensation, executive compensation, compensation operations, finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience with financial or human capital administration systems; comfortable working with systems, reporting tools, and emerging technology.
  • Experience supporting proxy, Board, SEC, financial, tax, or executive compensation reporting.
  • Superior communication, collaboration, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to employees, senior audiences, and cross-functional partners.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills, with excellent attention to detail and sound judgment when working with confidential information.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; proficiency in PowerPoint and Word.
  • Exposure to using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude).
  • Bachelor’s degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in financial services, investment banking, or asset management.
  • Experience with Fidelity Stock Plan Services or another major equity administration platform.
  • Experience with global equity administration, including mobile employees, multi-currency awards, and non-U.S. tax/reporting considerations.
  • Desire and ability to work in a smaller team-oriented environment.
