International Credit Division (ICD) — Financial Institutions Risk Intern

Internship Period: 11 January 2027 – 30 June 2027

Job Description

This position sits within the Financial Institutions Risk team, which is part of the International Credit Division. Financial Institutions Risk is a second line risk unit that manages the credit risk of the bank’s portfolio across the Banks, Sovereigns, Insurance, Funds, and Diversified Financials client segments. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in credit analysis, risk assessment, and financial modelling, and to partner with various internal stakeholders to drive a key growth pillar for the Bank.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of credit risk reports.
  • Support the team in conducting credit assessments and due diligence on new and existing clients.
  • Help in monitoring and evaluating the creditworthiness of clients and counterparties.
  • Participate in the development and enhancement of credit risk models and tools.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to special projects and initiatives aimed at improving credit risk management processes.

Job Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Keen eye for detail and proficiency in MS Office (Project, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Attention to detail and a desire to deliver high-quality outputs.
  • Ability to work under strict timelines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • “Can-do” attitude and ability to learn new topics quickly.
  • Strong written and spoken English proficiency.
  • Ability to collaborate across regions and teams to deliver best-in-class results.
  • Capable of working independently and within teams to drive success for the organization.
