About the Team

Global Operations (GO) teams manage critical systems and multiple platforms needed to maintain the enterprise’s market-leading positions in key segments. By performing essential functions throughout the end-to-end lifecycle of products, services, and client transactions, we help deliver seamless client outcomes while maintaining a strong risk and control environment.

These activities include client onboarding, trade validation, settlement, servicing, reporting, reconciliations, risk management, process improvement, and change delivery.

Programme Overview

The Summer Analyst Programme in London is designed to provide a unique experience within Global Operations. Opportunities are available in the following teams, with alignment based on your interests, development opportunities, and current business needs:

Global Markets Operations (GMO)

Provides end-to-end operational support for Global Markets sales, trading, and underwriting activities across securities, loans, and derivative products. Teams manage critical activities throughout the trade lifecycle, including trade processing, settlement, reconciliation, collateral management, and client servicing—helping deliver seamless market execution.

Training and Development

Your training and development is a top priority, including extensive formal training at the start of the programme, plus on-the-job training, virtual spotlight sessions, an Executive Speaker Series, networking events, and hands-on project work. Mentorship is provided throughout.

Responsibilities

As a Summer Analyst, you will be aligned to one team based on your interests and current business needs. Key tasks and responsibilities may include:

• Developing an understanding of client, account, and product reference data management processes.
• Supporting settlement, clearing, and reconciliation activities across a range of products and services.
• Building knowledge of trade lifecycle processes, including trade validation, maintenance, exception management, and reconciliation.
• Building knowledge of the products, services, and operational processes that support the bank and its clients.
• Analysing data, identifying trends, and contributing to business insights, process reviews, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Developing an understanding of risk management, controls, governance, and regulatory requirements.
• Supporting project delivery, business analysis, and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Preparing reports, dashboards, presentations, and updates for business partners and senior stakeholders.

Eligibility

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university, with a completion timeframe between September 2027 and July 2028.
• Completion means you have completed all final exams and coursework, with no outstanding requirements for graduation.
• On track for at least a 2:2 degree classification (or equivalent).
• Available to join the programme from June 2027 to August 2027.
• May be offered full-time employment to commence in July 2028; some lines of business may offer a January or April start date. You must be available on one of these start dates if offered; deferrals are not available.
